So how will you cast your vote when public school budget (K through State Colleges) issues are before the State Senate? Increase state funding, decrease state funding or muddle along with the same wavering Legislative support our public schools now face in the 2010-2011 school year?

Thanks for the question James.
I would like to heavily reform education. I believe that we have been spending money in the wrong places for decades. I don’t plan on muddling through in any regard. I will be looking at reversing the top heavy trend of the DOE (and most state agencies) and returning real power to the local districts enabling them to deal with their individual challenges and constraints. I would also like to revisit the lottery and make good on a promise made years ago. Education is our future and should be producing nation leading results instead of consistent mediocrity for the resources that we do and should spend on it.
